Our customers often share that they have tried a slew of different products to ease their dry, sensitive skin without success. From eczema to rosacea to seasonal dryness, they have found relief with The Goat Project soap.

The naturally occurring fatty acids in goat milk work to gently exfoliate and moisturize, making it great for all skin types.

Together, goat milk, organic olive oil, and organic coconut oil, create a gentle, cleansing lather that doesn’t leave skin feeling tight and dry.

And! Our skin-loving soap is made in Vermont with goat milk directly from our well-loved herd of goats!

Becca Knouss (farmer/ owner) with her herd of Nubian goats.

Becca bought her first goats— Luca, Paulie, Indigo, Nettle, and LP— and created The Goat Project in 2015. Since then, she and her family, along with her expanding herd of goats, have settled on eighty beautiful acres in Bennington, Vermont.

in the years leading up to The Goat Project, Becca worked on a multitude of different farms— from biodynamic cow and goat dairies to organic vegetable farms.

no matter where she was farming, Becca always came back to goats.

Becca’s appreciation for goats led her from fresh milk and tangy, delicious cheeses to bar soap. From a very young age, Becca struggled with eczema and dry skin and was often at a loss to ease these discomforts. When she discovered that goat milk could also be used to gently soothe inflamed skin she was hooked.

Becca soon began researching skin-loving oils and experimenting with bar soap recipes. The Goat Project was born from Becca’s long-standing love for goats and her desire to create a nourishing product for herself and her community!
